Thank you: Thank you to all our parents who were able to join us on our
SJ Field Trip on Friday. I apologize for any inconvenience as we worked on
rescheduling around the crazy weather. A special thank you to Jamie Spitale
and Amanda Grossman for hauling and setting up our lunch area.

Word Work: Our class will be learning about words with the prefix re- this
week. Students will understand that adding re- to a base word changes the
word’s meaning. Examples include: recheck, repaint, and return. Students
should read their word lists, discuss the meaning of the words, and practice
spelling words with similar syllable patterns. Spelling City is ready for students
to access the practice list for the week.

Yearbooks: Yearbooks will be passed out during lunch recess on Tuesday, May 28th. Students will have a chance to have classmates and friends sign the books during this time. We did not order extra yearbooks this year, but you can still order one on-line by using the link below. Your yearbook will be mailed directly to your home. When filling out the on-line form you do NOT need to enter a PIN number. We were not given one by the company.

Tuesday, June 4th time TBD by each teacher / Kiwanis Park
The second grade will make our annual trip down to Kiwanis Park for fun, food,
and games. We will celebrate the amazing school year we have had by eating sack
lunches and then playing together at the park! Please dress appropriately for the
weather and wear sunscreen. Parents and younger siblings are welcome.
