  HAPPY EARTH DAY!  Wear Green and Jeans on Monday, April 22nd!  
                                             We will be doing school yard clean up on Monday.
Word Work: Our class will be learning about irregular plural words this week. Our pattern will include identifying singular and irregular plural words.  Examples include: die - dice; child - children; mouse - mice; man - men; wife - wives; fish - fish; etc. Students should read their word lists, discuss the meaning of the words, and practice spelling words with similar syllable patterns.  Spelling City is ready for students to access the practice list for the week.
Field Trips: Our second grade field trips will be here before we know it.  Parents are welcome on our field trips. Please check your calendar and let us know if you will be able to  join us. More information will be coming soon.
           The Heritage Center and Historical House Tour on May 10th from 9:15 -1:15 p.m.
          Carousel, bluff, Memorial Day Parade on May 24th from 8:45 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
**If you plan on chaperoning, volunteer forms must be on file and processed before the trip. Please allow at least a week for processing. You may pick up forms in the office or call the office (926-3700) to have forms sent home with your child.

Bead Jar Celebration on Friday.

They did it again!!!   I thought for sure this would be a week that the bead jar would not make it to the top and then we went to library.  The class did an amazing job in library and then another incredible job in the computer lab.  I feel like a broken record when I say I have never had a class work so well as a team.  Tomorrow they may bring a stuff animal friend.  We are having a special gum time while we work and then will have a class kickball game.  It will be a fun Friday.  As always, email me if you have any questions.
