  Remember to read this weekend for March is Reading Month!
Word Work: Our class will be learning the le, al, and el consonant pattern this week. Our pattern
will show up in words like apple, medal, local, and nickel. Students should read their word lists,
discuss the meaning of the words, and practice spelling words with similar syllable patterns.
Spelling City is ready for students to access the practice list for the week.
Headphone/Earbud Request:  It is that time of year when students’ headphones are no longer
working and limited classroom headphones are not enough.  Please ask your child if his/her
headphones(earbuds) need to be replaced. If so, parents have recommended Five Below as a good
resource for inexpensive headphone if you are able to purchase a new pair fro your child.   We
appreciate your support.
March is Reading Month: Keep up the great reading and record your minutes in your passport
each night.  Start planning your favorite book character outfit.

Bead Jar Celebration on Friday.

They did it again!!!   I thought for sure this would be a week that the bead jar would not make it to the top and then we went to library.  The class did an amazing job in library and then another incredible job in the computer lab.  I feel like a broken record when I say I have never had a class work so well as a team.  Tomorrow they may bring a stuff animal friend.  We are having a special gum time while we work and then will have a class kickball game.  It will be a fun Friday.  As always, email me if you have any questions.
