Week of Nov. 26, 2018

11/26	D Day	We have music.    Homework:  Practice for math center and read your word list.
11/27	E Day	We have Math Center and our music program at 8:50    No Homework tonight.  See you at the program
11/28	F Day	We have a music.   Homework: Complete the math sheet
11/29	A Day	We have art, library, and computer lab.   Homework: Complete the word sheet
11/30	B Day	We have gym.    We do not have homework.

Word Work:  Our class will be learning about the long i digraph this week. The following words are examples of this pattern:  sight, lie, pie, and highway. Students should read their word lists, discuss the meaning of the words, and practice spelling words with similar syllable patterns.  Spelling City is ready for students to access the practice list for the week.  

Math Fact Practice:  As the end of the year approaches, please check what level your child is on in math center.  By the end of December, they should have level A (addition facts within 10) and level B (subtraction facts within 10) completed.  This will allow time to complete the 2nd grade goal which is passing Wizard Level A, B, C, and D.

Second Grade Music Program:  Our 2nd grade music program which will be on  November 27th a 8:50 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Students should arrive to their classrooms at 5:45 p.m. for the evening performance.  Parents and friends may find a seat in the gymnasium. We look forward to performing for you.
