Welcome! I am so excited for the 2018-2019 school year. It is going to be great!
Communication:  I am looking forward to sharing our classroom news and activities with you using our blog and itslearning this year. I will have more about this at Back to School Night but until then this is the place to check for information.
Nightly Reading:  Students are expected to read every night.  This week, students are expected to read for 10 minutes each night.   If you have been reading throughout the summer and your child's reading stamina is greater than 10 minutes, please continue your routine.  Our goal for 2nd grade is for all children to read independently for a minimum of 20 minutes nightly. They should be able to read fluently, retell the information, and answer a variety of questions accurately.
Back to School Night:
I am really looking forward to see everyone at Back to School Night on September 17th.  Please remember this night is for parents only.
